Yes, therapy can definitely help with things like school stress or behavioral issues by tackling the emotions and thoughts behind them. We’ll work on strategies to manage stress, stay focused, and handle conflicts. If needed, I can also work with your school counselors to support you better.

It’s totally okay if you’re not ready to open up right away. I’ll make sure to create a safe and relaxed space for you, and we’ll take things at your pace. I’ll use different ways to help you feel more comfortable sharing when you’re ready.

It might help to know that the first session is mainly about getting to know each other and setting some goals. It’s a safe space where you can talk about whatever you want without any judgment. Just be yourself and share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.

Usually, I focus on working directly with you in our sessions to build trust and respect your privacy. I might involve your family from time to time to discuss progress or strategies, but I’ll make sure to keep communication open with them and you.

During your first session, we'll discuss your concerns, goals, and any specific issues you’re facing. It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you might have about the process. We also make a plan for future sessions so we have an idea of what they look like and where you'd like to be.
